What is Aqualyx?
Aqualyx is a treatment that is designed to get rid of stubborn pockets of fat that are difficult to get rid of. It is a substance that is injected into the stubborn areas and then causes the fat to dissolve which then naturally passes through your system.
What areas does it treat?
The common areas to treat are:
· Under the chin
· Bingo wings
· Tummy fat
· Muffin tops
· Back folds
· Inner thighs
· Outer thighs
· Neck folds
· Love handles
How many treatments will I need?
Typically you will need between 3-6 treatments depending on the amount of fat that needs to be removed. If it is a small area you may get away with 2 treatments and very large or stubborn fatty areas 8, but typically, it usually takes 4 treatments.
How much does it cost?
Cost varies depending on the size of the area – for large areas, we charge £200 and for smaller areas £150. Prices for each area can be seen on our booking tool on the following link: https://contourcouture.versum.com
Am I suitable for treatment?
This is a treatment that allows you to get rid of stubborn fatty areas and should not be seen as a weight-loss treatment. Anyone who has a BMI of more than 30 would be deemed unsuitable and we would recommend a balanced healthy diet and exercise in the first instance to lose weight and once this has been achieved and you reach a steady weight, we can help with any of the stubborn areas.
Outside of the above, as long as you are generally healthy and don’t have any skin diseases or infections, in the area that you wish to be treated, then you are suitable.
However, there are some exceptions, we would not treat ladies who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Also, if you have been diagnosed with lipodystrophy or any pathological conditions.
We will not treat anyone under the age of 18 either.
Is it permanent?
So long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle and diet, this is permanent.
When will I start to see the results?
Approximately 4-5 weeks post-treatment and in some cases sooner once any swelling has gone down.
Does it hurt?
You may feel some discomfort during the treatment and there may be bruising and swelling post-treatment – this can last up to a week. We add anesthetic to the injections to reduce the discomfort but recommend taking painkillers for a couple of days post-treatment.
